APPLY AT OUR WEBSITE The flagger position is responsible for supporting work crews by providing safe and efficient traffic control at or near job sites. Job Duties • Responsible for the safety, direction and control of vehicle and pedestrian traffic at or near job sites • Provide clear and positive guidance to drivers and co-workers through use of traffic control equipment • Must perform duties in an alert manner while keeping traffic moving, ensuring the safety of motorists, crews and themselves • Communicate specific instructions verbally to team members in accordance with operating practices • Must perform duties in a courteous and respectful manner, even when dealing with agitated drivers • Attend jobsite safety meetings every week Knowledge, Skills, Abilities • Punctuality and regular in attendance • Ability to receive and carry out specific instructions • Ability to communicate quickly and clearly to effectively relay traffic information to other team members • Ability to interact in a professional and respectful manner with other employees and the public • Be knowledgeable of OSHA and WISHA safety rules and regulations, and safety standards in hazardous traffic environments • Must be familiar with the MUCTD Manual • Must wear proper PPE (personal protective equipment) in accordance with state standards and Company Policy Other • Must be 18 year of age or over • Must possess a valid Driver's License and have reliable transportation • Must have a State Flagger's Certification from any of the following states: Washington, Idaho, Oregon, or Montana
