Rehoming my white female dove Female dove: Still young, a year or less, I got her before she learned to coo. She was successful to raise a baby. The male I had wasn't too fond of the baby but she stepped up. She is not tame, gets uncomfortable when handled. Wouldn't recommend having her fly in your house, she's a bit clumsy and might poke at plants. But she can learn ofc. I wanted to harness train her and she was calm but I only tried twice so I didn't teach her lol. Overall, she is a sweet bird and tends to shake nervously when she's uncertain. Rarely coos now. I'm a bit reluctant to rehome dove because I don't want her to be used for breeding or left in a small cage. Final words: Bring your own box or carrier cage.
