Weidner Apartment Homes is NOW HIRING for a Regional Plumber! We are searching for a Regional Plumber to work at our apartment communities in the Anchorage area. The Regional Plumber's primary responsibility is oversight of plumbing issues for the region. This person will perform repairs, maintenance and preventive maintenance on all wastewater systems in the area. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: *Primary responsibility is oversight of plumbing issues for region. Perform repairs, maintenance and preventive maintenance all wastewater systems throughout the Region. *Responding to emergency repairs, examples broken/leaking water supply lines, large drain clogs, broken wastewater piping, etc. *Being able to use sewer augers, portable high pressure and trailer mounted jetters *Participating in an “On Call” rotation to respond to plumbing emergency repairs and maintenance after business hours. *Must be willing to perform a variety of maintenance tasks outside of wastewater systems when needed. This includes other plumbing repairs, apartment maintenance and miscellaneous building maintenance. *Train other associates when requested on the operation of wastewater maintenance equipment, to include but not limited to: high pressure jetters, power snakes, video scoping equipment. Train maintenance staff in all areas of plumbing maintenance and repair. *Experienced with WIRSBO, Copper, PVC, CPVC, Pro-press & torches. *Work with Supervisors, Service Managers, Service Technicians and Community Directors to achieve optimal results. *Repair and maintain all sewer line systems and service equipment. *Maintain inventory and order necessary supplies as needed with Supervisor’s approval. *Communicate recommendations and receive approval for actions to be taken with appropriate personnel Qualifications: *Minimum 5 years’ experience or equivalent with high pressure jetters and power snakes. *Experience with both residential and commercial plumbing. *Minimum of 3 years boiler experience. *Provide full set of general tools, including but not limited to sets of wrenches, screwdrivers, pliers, Allen wrenches, plumbing torch, toolbox. *Able to lift and carry up to 80 pounds and push/pull up to 200 pounds. *Must have valid driver’s license, proof of insurance and reliable transportation to respond to service requests, pick up parts. *Working knowledge of English, detail oriented and well organized. *Available to work flexible hours and days. *Must agree to a criminal background, credit check and sign an agreement for a voluntary drug test.
