******MUST APPLY IN PERSON TO BE CONSIDERED****** *****Compensation to be determined based on experience.***** JOB TITLE: Press / Urethane Operator - SUMMARY: Molds rubber products using compression molding operation or molds urethane products using cast molding operation. Employees in this position report to the Press Department Coordinator. WILL TRAIN. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES are to execute the following cycle. Other duties may be assigned. -Loads preformed parts into compression mold and places mold in proper position in press or mixes compound in proper proportions, pours into mold, and waits for predetermined time before placing mold in proper position in press. -Closes press allowing for "breathe" and checks for complete mold closure. -After predetermined curing time, opens press and carefully de-molds part using de-molding tools or equipment. -Cleans mold for next cycle. -Briefly inspects cured parts for obvious flaws. QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to communicate with the Supervisor and QC Auditor on problems and solutions during the molding process. Ability to understand and interpret documents contained in the safety program and company policy and procedure manual. REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to maneuver tools to de-mold parts; reach and pull with hands and arms; talk and hear; closely visually inspect parts; use depth perception and peripheral vision. The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, lift, carry, crouch, kneel, or stoop. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds; frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds; and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds.
