This position is for a full-time Building Supervisor to work for a nonprofit organization located in downtown Wailuku. Position manages all janitorial and maintenance duties for three (3) buildings with common areas, tenant units, parking lot, and specialty performing arts spaces. Position requires a basic knowledge of general maintenance, plumbing, electrical, as well as a detailed knowledge of the unique needs of performing arts facilities. Position Overview The Building Supervisor performs a wide variety of maintenance and administrative duties to ensure that the day-to-day operations run smoothly for the organization and its tenants. Responsibilities (include, but not limited to) - Administrative duties including invoicing, delegating small staff (including volunteers), purchasing supplies, soliciting and negotiating contracts for contractual services - Project management - Regular inspections of common areas, building and grounds - Maintenance of common areas - Day-to-day cleaning and janitorial duties - Basic repairs in electrical, plumbing and mechanical systems Requirements - High school diploma or GED - Minimum 3 years’ experience working in performing arts facilities - Strong problem-solving skills - Good communication and interpersonal skills - Detail-oriented - Valid driver’s license - Ability to work well with people of all ages in day-to-day operations - Must take and pass OSHA 30 classes - Must pass criminal background check Covid-19 Vaccination Requirement The organization requires that all new hires provide proof of their vaccination status and be vaccinated at the time of hire, i.e., fully vaccinated on their first day of work.
