Description

Learn to make a couple of wooden nutcrackers. Perfect for the holidays and great as gifts! During the class attendees will make two nutcrackers out of cherry or black walnut. Attendees will be making the nutcrackers using an assortment of power and hand tools, including a table saw, drill press, table router, band saw, sander and wood threading tool. Although the project is relatively simple, it does take some working knowledge and a healthy respect for power tools, Attendees will be guided step by step and supervised, but some previous experience would be a big help. At the end of the day, you'll never want to use one of those metal nutcrackers again. We will have an hour break for lunch in the middle of the class Attendees should wear safety glasses and hearing protection, and should wear comfortable workshop appropriate clothing (nothing loose, closed-toed shoes). This class needs a minimum of 4 attendees to run Minimum age for this class is 18.
