The Maintenance Technician is responsible for overseeing maintenance efforts for a self-storage facility. This position prefers entry-level knowledge on basic building maintenance and some trade support, i.e., basic electrical, plumbing, maintenance, masonry, custodial, carpentry, painting, doors, HVAC systems, gates, roofs, golf carts, etc.***Part Time Hours are 25-28 Hours/Week $14/Hour***General responsibilities include: Visually inspect storage units and equipment Responsible for overall maintenance of storage and office facilities Clean space(s) as vacated, hallways, and grounds as needed Clean office, restrooms and common areas daily Maintains a neat, safe and secure facility including minor maintenance and daily lock checks as well      as visual inspection daily Performs physical site inspections of facilities Assist in monthly lock cuts Painting, general carpentry, light electrical and plumbing; i.e. changing light bulbs and ballasts,            unclogging drains, hasp repair/replacement Assist with fire tests and annual inspections Repairs and maintains physical structure of establishment including landscaping Assists in the cleaning and parking of Trucks Snow Plowing and/or Weeding A general knowledge of site management that includes customer service skills and daily operational      knowledge is required. Performs other duties as assigned; works with minimum direct supervision; operates effectively on a       team And additional items as needed.Minimum Qualification: Possess a valid driver's license. Possess a high school diploma or GED. Be proficient in the use of a computer. Be able to deal with conflict and handle in a professional and calm manner. Be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds. Be able to bend over easily in order to open unit doors, weed facility grounds, sweep, etc. Be able to read and understand documents including policy manual, checklists, rental leases and other rental legal forms.
