Description

Adam Rusnak will be joining us on October 11 to answer student questions about a day in the life of an attorney. Adam Rusnak is a Supervisory Assistant Federal Public Defender at the Office of the Federal Public Defender for the Southern District of Ohio. Adam works in that office's Capital Habeas Unit, where he represents individuals sentenced to death by the State of Ohio. Adam attended undergrad at the Ohio State University, where he majored in Mathematics and Classics, and earned his Juris Doctor (JD) in 2010 from Harvard Law School. After law school, he worked at the law firm of Sidley Austin LLP in Washington, DC, before returning to Columbus in 2013 to clerk for U.S. District Judge Algenon L. Marbley. After clerking, he worked for the Columbus law firm of Vorys, Sater, Seymour, and Pease, followed by another clerkship, with U.S. Circuit Court Chief Judge R. Guy Cole, and several stints volunteering for the Legal Aid Society of Columbus, before finding his way to the Office of the Federal Public Defender, where he has been since 2016.
