The Heritage Community will host a saddle fitting clinic for any interested. Our presenter is certified saddle maker Bob Byrns of Texas.
Bob Byrns is the retired manager of Texas A&M's mounted cavalry. Apart from being an educator, Bob has extve years of experience working with horses and teaching horsemanship. He is a certified saddle maker and received his training in England. Bob owned and ran his own tack shop in Texas for 11 years. We are excited to have him present at this clinic and to teach about proper saddle fitting technique, it's benefits, different types of horse shapes, and tips and tricks to find that perfect saddle fit. This clinic will provide a light breakfast around 9:00 a.m., and will conclude around 1:00 p.m..
The Heritage Community is a non-profit organization that offers residential reatment, including equine therapy, to troubled teens. All proceeds from this event will go directly towards the equine therapy program.
Attendees will not bring their own horses, but will come ready to learn how to practice the concepts of saddle fitting for their own personal use. Students 17 and under are free. We hope to see you there!
