The entire community is invited to the 2021 Blessing of the Animals! The 10th annual “Blessing of the Animals” will take place at Bellaire United Methodist Church on Saturday, October 16 from 1:00 pm until 3:00pm. At this fun, family-friendly and pet-friendly event, people of all faiths are invited to bring their dogs, cats, hamsters, fish or other pets to receive an individual blessing from one of our pastors. Plus your pet will receive a FREE digital photo of that special moment courtesy of Nikky LaWell Photography. You can also visit with local pet experts and pet businesses, and check out the adorable adoptable pets brought by six pet rescue organizations. Please remember that all pets should be friendly and either on a leash (dogs), in protective carriers (cats), cages (birds, small mammals), fish bowls, or terrariums (amphibians, reptiles). Bellaire United Methodist Church is located in the town of Bellaire, Texas. Their mission is to make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world. Evelyn’s Park Conservancy is committed to designing, developing and transforming the 5-acre historic former Teas Nursery site into a park that will be both a quiet refuge and a flourishing place for the community by offering a blend of natural beauty, thoughtful design, and diverse programming that inspires and enriches the every day of generations to come.
