Description

2022 AgFest - A Celebration of New Mexico Agriculture! Dear valued partner, Since 1993, New Mexico Farm & Livestock Bureau has hosted AgFest - our annual legislative meet and greet. As you’ve witnessed, it has grown into an agricultural homecoming of sorts as various groups gather to share their story of food production. And while this venue has shown the strength of our agricultural community, it has lost a bit of its focus. We are excited to implement changes this year that will allow us to reimagine AgFest and return to our roots of legislative advocacy. On Tuesday, January 25th, from 7:00 – 8:00pm AgFest will be held exclusively for legislators and their families. This first hour will foster an intimate environment that allows organizational leaders to discuss issues that are paramount to their segment of our state’s agricultural industry. Each organization that hosts a $600 booth will be granted four passes for their representatives to be present during this exclusive hour, to manage their booth and connect with legislators. To minimize distractions while still highlighting the beloved New Mexico food and value-added products that lend this celebration such a culinary flair, the event will be catered featuring heritage food items prepared by New Mexico chefs from around the state, featuring regional cuisine. This approach reduces the burden of preparing and serving food items which unfortunately sometimes becomes an organization’s focus, misdirecting their efforts during this important advocacy opportunity. At 8:00pm the doors will be opened to general ticket holders so we can continue our AgFest tradition of celebrating the people and food of New Mexico agriculture. During the entire event all exhibitors will be required to distribute pre-packaged New Mexico value added products (a list of vendors will be made available). This will help highlight our state’s value-added agriculture, while providing additional exposure. We encourage all vendors to partner with a company and highlight that company at your booth along with your organization. We are excited about these changes that will provide greater value and enhanced opportunities for interaction with our policy makers. This new format will provide the space to focus on issues in greater depth, while also giving an opportunity to gather as a larger community. We look forward to partnering with you as we ensure a successful and vibrant future for our state’s ag community. Chad Smith CEO By registering for a booth your organization agrees to hand out pre-packaged New Mexico value added agriculture product samples during the event.
