An exhibit and lecture on the rich history of Chicago and the Midwest as seen through old and rare maps, prints, and ephemera.
Join us for an evening of antique maps, prints, and ephemera with a focus on the history of Chicago and the Mid-West. From the early days of French fur trappers and local natives meeting in this region once known as Che-ka-gou, through the era of settlers in the Northwest Territory, the Great Chicago Fire, two World's Fairs, and mayhem of the roaring 1920s and 1930s, there was a wide range of maps and prints produced that illustrate the rich history of Chicago. We will have much of material on display and available for purchase.
