The 46th Annual Scholarship & Awards Gala We invite you to join us for our 46th Anniversary Scholarship & Awards Gala on October 9, 2021, in person, at the Envue Hotel in Weehawken, New Jersey! Black-tie preferred event. By way of background, the GSBA is New Jersey's oldest and largest professional organization for African American judges, lawyers, and law students. It was created to support African-American and other attorneys of color to gain and maintain permanence in the legal profession in the State of New Jersey. Extraordinary Honorees. To give back to the community, twenty-eight (28) years ago, the GSBA created a Scholarship Fund to help African-American law students attending schools in New Jersey. Since 1975, the GSBA has continuously assisted African-Americans and other ethnic minorities in becoming an effective part of the judicial and legal systems. Special Guest Performance by Kenny Lattimore (https://www.kennylattimore.com) This year, the GSBA will continue its scholarship program through the support of corporate, law firm, and individual sponsors reflecting a recognition of the organization's critical role and influence in the legal community! Finally, the GSBA is committed to providing a safe environment for all. As we continue to navigate an ongoing pandemic, the GSBA will adhere to COVID-19 safety guidelines established by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and local health authorities. Presently, we require all attendees to provide proof of vaccination or a negative PCR COVID test taken within 72 hours of the gala.
