The Institute of Biological Chemistry seeks an individual to water and care for greenhouse and growth chamber research plants. Additional work will include washing plant pots and completing sanitation work in a greenhouse environment. Position begins at earliest convenience. Schedule emphasis will be 7:30am-11:30am on Sat/Sun for weekend watering, with additional hours to be arranged during the work week to overlap with weekday staff. Ideally this will be Mon/Fri mornings. In addition, some holiday watering will be incorporated into schedule in coordination with weekday staff schedules. This position will be renewed each season/semester upon mutual agreement of greenhouse manager and employee. Biological science related majors and greenhouse/horticultural experience is preferred, yet all training is provided for the right person. Dependability is imperative. Ability to lift 50lbs and work independently in hot and humid environments. Drivers license required.
