NW Safety Signs is a local traffic control and custom sign/design company located in Bellingham, WA. We started as a small company specializing in traffic control and safety signs. We have built our company to also offer a wide variety of custom signs and graphics through our custom division. We are working to build and grow both divisions of our company. We are looking for a Facility and Fleet Assistant who works well in a diverse position and can efficiently execute all tasks. As a Facility and Fleet Assistant you play an important role in assisting and supporting the Shop & Office through various tasks. You are highly motivated to assist with various on hand projects, you are organized and personable with customers and you are able to transition into a variety of roles. You love hard work and are a self-starter always looking to improve the things around you. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Prepare traffic control vehicles for projects including; loading and unloading equipment, fueling, organizing and cleaning. Ensure vehicles are in good working condition by coordinating oil changes, repairs, maintenance, etc. Provide Flagging on occasion and assist with setting up work zones. Must be willing to obtain Flagger Certification Card. Stock and count inventory. Complete various tasks and assist where needed including cleaning, organizing, running errands, assisting managers and other employees. Maintain a clean warehouse and exterior facility. Ensure facility is in good working condition, clean and safe. Help load and unload customer pick-ups and drop-offs of signs and rental devices. Capable of installing signs and various labor work when needed. Maintain a “To Do” list to refer to when given projects and work from when time allows. Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs. Must have a valid driver's license and good driving abstract. Skills, experience and other requirements: 1+ year(s) experience in a similar role Experience with Word, Google suite and Excel Experience in the sign industry or traffic control industry is a plus Experience working on vehicles is a plus Strong communication skills Ability to work cooperatively in a fast paced environment Motivated and self-directed Ability to quickly learn new skills and assume new responsibilities Ability to take direction, fulfill requests, assist managers and team members Ability to work alone and with a team.
