I have worked 32 years as a law enforcement and public safety official. I am a retired Captain of the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department and former Chief of the LAPD. I want you to know I stand by the rule of law. Safe communities, safe families, safe schools, safe businesses and safe places of worship. I believe that people who commit crimes need to be held accountable for their actions. Policing is a difficult, but noble profession, that is necessary to maintaining a peaceful community.
