Lutheran Church of the Resurrection, in Marion, will be holding a “Blessing of the Animals” ceremony on Sunday, October 10 at 1:30 pm. All animals are welcome. The blessing is part of a celebration of St. Francis of Assisi, who believed that nature and all of its creatures is a reflection of God. It is a time to remember how animals are a blessing in our lives, and that we have a responsibility to care for them and the environment.
