Vision: We want to empower our young ladies to not let the hardships of life distract them from their purpose but instead identify their hardships and release them to God. Main Sessions will include the following: Opportunity to worship with worship leaders through dance, visual arts, and songs. Hands-on Activities: Mirror Talk and Words of Affirmation led by Keva SmithWords of Empowerment from Alexia Young: Rising From the Ashes with testimonials from young ladies. Break out sessions will include the following: Session 1: Love; How do I love God, myself, and others in a world filled with hate, competition, and unforgiviness? -Mrs. Mequitta Pickens, Director of B4A Mentorship Program Session 2: Identity; How do I find my truest identity in a world that pride’s itself on false identity? -Mrs. Joya Matthews, Owner of Prose Concrete Session 3: Mental Health; How do I come from behind the mask and begin my healing process? -Pastor Keaundra Price, Founder of Camp Counsel None Alexia Young is a native Texan, born and raised in Texarkana, Texas. She is an Educator, Author, Creative Arts Director and Motivational Speaker. Her purpose in life is to bring hope to the brokenness through Christ’s Love. She has been blessed with opportunities to speak at conferences and workshops that focus on Urban Education. She has been given the privilege to share her life story of Beauty from Ashes, in reference to Isaiah 61:3 throughout Texas, Tennessee, New York and Kenya, Africa to empower young ladies to know their identity and develop self-confidence.
