Business & K-12 Education Partnering to Expand the High Tech Talent Pool.
Senior Executives from Bosch Rexroth, the Charlotte Regional Business Alliance, and regional manufacturing industry firms will attend this Open House Event at Olympic High School whose campus features a $350,000 Bosch Rexroth Advanced Manufacturing & Technology Center. The Bosch Rexroth Center has propelled Olympic to become a major supplier of apprentice talent to the manufacturing sector. Olympic graduates about 200 Seniors each year with a National Career Academy diploma earned at the high school's nationally acclaimed Academy of Engineering & Advanced Manufacturing.
Olympic is ranked in the Top 1% of American high schools.
Bosch Rexroth recently rebranded, and Senior Executives will be on hand to discuss the importance of Education and Business becoming strategic partners to expand the technical talent pool as American firms struggle to fill a historical high 9.5 million jobs.
Olympic High School has been affiliated with the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation movement since 2006 in creating a variety of small learning communities on its campus. Olympic enthusiastically believes in creating students who are both "Career AND College Ready". The campus represents the only one in NC housing 5 NAF career academies, with all 5 having earned the rare and coveted national "DISTINGUISHED" status which ranks them among the top 1% nationally. Olympic is only the 2nd High School in America to have ever accomplished this truly rare achievement. Olympic was recently featured in an Amazon #1 best-seller about the need for America to transform education -- What School Could Be.
