MELROSE, MA — A local veteran who served in World War II is about to turn 100. Melrose Veterans' Services and the the Veterans' Advisory Board both reached out to wish Mary Watts a happy birthday. Mary and her late husband both served in the Navy during the war. Mary's birthday is Oct. 5.
