Description

Our Lady of Victory summons you to Lepanto Rock! Catholic Gentlemen!:  Join us as we jointly celebrate the anniversary of the Battle of Lepanto and the feast of Our Lady of Victory!  We will begin at 8PM with vespers in the convent chapel, followed by a backyard gathering at the Lombardi (formerly Wallacavage) cottage.  There will be a roaring bonfire accompanied by BYO (to share) beverages and snacks, the customary dramatic recitation of "Lepanto" by G.K. Chesterton --  as well as the hallmark of the Cephalophore Society: great conversation with your brothers in Christ.  Since it will be October, we will return to the jacket and tie requirement for this event. Please respond by Wednesday, 6 October. Where does a Catholic man go for a dose of reality in an increasingly unreal world? The Cephalophore Society is a League of Extraordinary Catholic Gentlemen in the Greater Philadelphia area, organized to provide fellowship and mutual support in living our vocations (as husbands, fathers, bachelors and religious) in a culture adrift. A "cephalophore" is a saint depicted as carrying his own head. We have adopted as our patrons Ss. John the Baptist, Thomas More and John Fisher, all of whom lost their heads for the truth about Marriage.
