WAREHOUSE LEAD Welcome to Wine Meats Cheese. We are a wine shipping and logistics company, made up of mostly hospitality industry veterans. This job is perfect for anybody looking for an alternative to the restaurant or hospitality industry - as well as warehouse professionals. We are looking for a motivated, self-starter who can lead the daily operations of the warehouse with minimal supervision. Full time, Monday - Friday, 6am - 3pm with benefits. Our operation has grown in 2020-21 and will continue to grow into 2022, and we’re excited for you to grow with our team. We offer 401k, benefits, and would like to implement profit sharing in the next year. WORKING CONDITIONS: - Warehouse environment - Exposure to moderate noise levels - The warehouse is often chilly, with exposure to outdoor temperatures. - It is mandatory to show respect for your coworkers’ safety through focus, verbal communication as well as proper sanitization of hands and equipment at the beginning and end of every shift. EQUIPMENT USED: - Standard office equipment, security equipment, computer/printer, copy machine, SLACK and Google Suites - Pallet Jack - Company Vehicles - Box cutter DAILY ACTIVITIES: - General warehouse operations - Load and unload trucks - Shipping and receiving - Maintain company vehicles - Picking and packing - Movement of material - Package tracking - Dock labor - Transportation/pickups and deliveries - Keep inventory stocked, put away and organized - Keep the warehouse clean and organized YOU: - Must be at least 18 years of age - High School diploma or equivalent GED - Able to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted - Able to use a Pallet Jack - Must have a valid Driver's License - Ability to read english - Excellent interpersonal communication and some customer service skills - Attention to detail - ability to differentiate between similar products - Able to maximize use of time to effectively complete work - Treats all fellow employees with respect - Wine knowledge or experience using On Demand Restaurant Apps a plus DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE FOR A WAREHOUSE LEAD: - Must be able to know all the Equipment & Parts that we have in the Warehouse - Perform any other management requests or directives as they relate to the overall function of company policy - Audit and report inventory while making recommendations on which items to order and restock - Manage warehouse associates, monitoring work and ensuring the safe use of warehouse equipment - Establish warehouse practices and protocols to achieve an efficient warehouse - Monitor workplace performance and lead training initiatives to improve employees - Keep up-to-date on the latest federal and state safety regulations - Communicate with other departments to ensure products are shipped in a timely manner - Manage company vehicles
