Are you interested in helping Contra Costa seniors and low-income residents save residents MILLIONS in tax prep costs? Want to be sure your neighbors get the credits and deductions they deserve? AARP Tax-Aide is looking for compassionate and friendly individuals to join our Contra Costa East team of local volunteers for the upcoming tax season. You'll receive training and continued support in a welcoming environment. And, as our current volunteers tell us, you'll not only learn new skills but also get a great feeling from helping someone else. Contra Costa Tax-Aide is looking to fill the following roles: • Tax Counselors prepare Federal and California tax returns for our clients. Tax counselors are IRS certified through self-study, free-of-charge training, and passing an IRS certification examination. • Client Facilitators welcome taxpayers, help organize their paperwork, and manage the overall flow of service.
