Danvers To Host Zero Waste Recycling Weekend

DANVERS, MA — The Danvers Department of Public Works will host a two-day Zero Waste Recycling Weekend on Oct. 23-24 to help residents rid themselves of items that are not collected during regular curbside pickup. Items that can be recycled on this day include textiles, electronics, metals and rigid plastics. Paper-shredding services will also be provided. There are reduced recycling fees on this day. Televisions of all sizes can be recycled for $30 each, refrigerators and air conditions are $25, computer monitors are $10, copiers and printers are $10 and small appliances are free. Recycle and compost bins will also be available for purchase. The event is part of America Recycles Day, which has been observed since 1997 on Nov. 15. The event will take place from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. each day at the Danvers High Parking lot on Cabot Road. More information on what can be recycled can be found here.
