PRINCE WILLIAM COUNTY, VA — A 60-year-old man suffered life-threatening injuries after he was struck by a car in Triangle on Wednesday night or Thursday morning, according to the Prince William County Police Department. Now, authorities are looking for the vehicle that struck him.
Police officers responded to the 4300 block of Inn Street in Triangle to investigate a reported unconscious man in the roadway.
After an investigation, officers determined that the victim, who was identified as a 60-year-old man, was walking in a dimly-lit section of the roadway. Then, he was a hit by a maroon-colored vehicle, police said.
The victim fell to the ground in the eastbound lane of the road, according to the police report. Another motorist found him and contacted police.

The victim was flown to a nearby hospital with life-threatening injuries.
The driver that hit the man did not stop at the scene, authorities said. Instead, they continued driving. No other information about the driver or the maroon vehicle was available on Thursday afternoon.
