BEVERLY, MA —City residents and visitors will be asked to think pink when they see a Beverly police officer during October as many in the department will be donning pink patches and badges in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness month.
The Patrolman's Union will be selling the patches, T-shirts, sweatshirts and other items with some of the proceed going to a breast cancer charity "to honor all those who have battled this horrific disease and support them with their courageous fight."
Police said they will post additional information on purchasing opportunities on their social media accounts when it becomes available.
