ROUND ROCK, TX—Cork & Barrel Craft Kitchen + Microbrewery will host its first annual Oktoberfest, fittingly dubbed Corktoberfest, for a day of beer, food, live music and fun events, including traditional Oktoberfest contests, yard games like corn hole and Jenga, and more! Come out Sunday, Oct. 3 from 11 a.m. - 9 p.m. to Cork & Barrel located at 4000 East Palm Valley Blvd., Round Rock, TX 78665 and enjoy Cork & Barrel paying homage to Oktoberfest traditions with a Steinholding contest (otherwise known as Masskrugstemmen). In this competition, competitors' physical and mental toughness is put to the test while they hold a full one-liter beer stein in front of them with a straight arm. The contestant who can hold up their arm with proper form the longest is declared the winner. There will also be a costume contest for all guests to participate in, so they're encouraged to show up in their Oktoberfest best. Contest prizes include swag bags with glass Bavarian beer steins, glass beer boots, t-shirts, Cork & Barrel gift cards and much more. This event is for 21 and over only.
