Press release from the City of Ankeny: 09/29/2021 1:58 p.m. Sharing on behalf of DART: Ankeny residents are invited to help DART plan for the future of transit. As part of these plans, DART is proposing replacing the Ankeny On Call with Microtransit service which would allow riders to reserve on-demand, door-to-door trips within a travel zone. You can view this proposal for service for the future now by visiting ridedart.com/future. DART is hosting a special Open House to learn more from Ankeny residents and riders of DART's Ankeny services. Stop by the Large Meeting Rooms at the Ankeny Kirkendall Public Library any time between 4:30 and 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 6. Riders and residents who both attend a public event, and complete DART's survey, will receive a free monthly DART pass as a thank you for their input. Printed copies of the survey, as well as tablets to complete the survey digitally are available at all of DART's in-person events. Interpreters are available upon request, please submit your request for an interpreter to DART Customer Service by calling 515-283-8100 option 0 or emailing [email protected]. Please submit requests for interpreters by Sept. 30, 2021. Riders who are unable to attend the meeting, or who would like to speak to DART staff about these changes and would like to participate in a DART Focus Group, should email DART Customer Service.
