APPLY IN PERSON - FULL TIME POSITION WITH BENEFITS, PTO AND 401K Position Purpose The QC technician will assist on the implementation, monitoring and verification of food safety and quality programs. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES • Implement and maintain Food Safety Plan and prerequisite programs. • Provide necessary support to operations department to enforce Food Safety and Quality procedures. • Conduct daily Food Safety and Quality checks to ensure process complies with Hilltop Ranch policies and standards. • Address process and policy deviations in a timely and effective manner. • Provide Food Safety and Quality support to various departments of the organization. • Ensure company is in compliance with regulatory and customer requirements. • Assist in providing necessary Quality and Food Safety training for plant personnel. • Follows and ensures adherence to established Hilltop Ranch, Inc., local, state, and federal regulations and requirements as well as food safety, sanitation, food production and nutritional guidelines. • Establishes and ensures adherence to procedures and standards, which are in agreement with these regulations, requirements and guidelines. • Ability to follow, comply and enforce all safety policies and procedures. • Responsibilities are not limited to the above mentioned and may include assisting other departments within reasonable and related tasks. QUALIFICATION • Experience in Quality Assurance • Experience with food safety programs a plus • Strong computer and clerical experience (Microsoft applications and integrated computer systems) • Valid driver’s license • Ability to follow and comply with all safety policies and procedures • Must be able to pass a physical and drug test PHYSICAL DEMANDS Physical Demands • Will occasionally stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle and feel, reach with hands and arms, talk and hear, taste and smell. • Will frequently sit and occasionally climb or balance and stoop, kneel crouch or crawl. • Must use both hands for rapid mental muscular coordination, simultaneously. • Must be able to reach high and low levels, frequently. • Must be able to push/pull/lift with arms below waist/at shoulder/above shoulder level up to 60 pounds frequently. • Must lift with arms up to floor to waist, waist to shoulder 60 pounds. • Must be able to constantly stand/stoop/walk/bend, up to 12 hours/throughout the shift. • Ability to strenuous flex/grip with wrist/hands frequently (15 flexion/minute). Work Environment • May work near moving mechanical parts. • May work around wet or humid conditions, in high, precarious places, fumes or airborne particles, outdoor weather conditions, extreme cold (non-weather), extreme heat (non-weather), risk of electrical shock, and/or risk of vibration. SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES • Bilingual (English / Spanish) is preferred • Ability to work with groups-team oriented personality • Organizational skills
