Position Purpose The main purpose of this position, is to be responsible for performing various tasks to aid daily operations and bin fumigation. Other duties and responsibilities will be assigned based on department needs and seasonal requirements. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES • Follows and ensures adherence to established Hilltop Ranch, Inc... local, state, and federal regulations and requirements as well as food safety, sanitation, food production and nutritional guidelines. • Establishes and ensures adherence to procedures and standards, which are in agreement with these regulations, requirements and guidelines. • Ensure bin liners are sealed to safely apply fumigant • Maintain a clean and organize working environment • Verify Eco2 cylinders levels are ready and in good condition for fumigation process • Perform visual inspection of all raw material products while performing fumigation process • Effectively using heavy and light equipment, when repairing or cleaning bins or depending on jobsite/assignment • Moves items from place to place, according to direction from the site supervisor. • Moving tools, equipment, or other material as directed in plans or by supervisor • Performs general duties needed as tagging, product bin sampling and inspecting incoming product as needed • Able to record information needed into the incoming forms and sampling bags for product traceability • Transport samples pulled to designated areas for grading • Shrink wrap pallets and tight bin liners shut to prevent product contamination as needed • Able to assist forklift drivers to unload inshell hoppers as needed • Able to receive and follow instructions and communicate with co-workers • Must comply, enforce and report any suspicious or malicious activities or personnel • Responsibilities are not limited to the above mentioned and may include assisting other departments within reasonable and related tasks. QUALIFICATIONS • Ability to work any shift including overtime and weekends as needed • Ability to read label information, understand and follow direction/instructions • Warehouse operations experience is a plus • Bin fumigation experience is a plus but not required SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES • Bilingual (English / Spanish) is helpful • Ability to work with groups-team oriented personality • Organizational skills PHYSICAL DEMANDS • Will occasionally stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle and feel, reach with hands and arms, talk and hear, taste and smell. • Will frequently sit and occasionally climb or balance and stoop, kneel crouch or crawl. • Must use both hands for rapid mental muscular coordination, simultaneously. • Must be able to reach high and low levels, frequently. • Must be able to push/pull/lift with arms below waist/at shoulder/above shoulder level up to 60 pounds frequently. • Must lift with arms up to floor to waist, waist to shoulder 60 pounds. • Must be able to constantly stand/stoop/walk/bend, up to 12 hours/throughout the shift. • Ability to strenuous flex/grip with wrist/hands frequently (15 flexion/minute).
