Chef de Cuisine Banning's Tavern is a well known, locally owned establishment with a solid reputation for excellent food, drink and service. Our goal has always been and will continue to be that every guest leaving Banning's is looking forward to their next visit. The Chef de Cuisine provides leadership training and hands-on management of the kitchen staff, as well as being in charge of executing the food in the kitchen. The Chef de Cuisine provides a consistent product while achieving revenue targets and managing costs, as well as ensuring all staff under direct supervision are focused and demonstrating a guest centric attitude. Scope: • Responsible for the daily operations of the kitchen and is first-in-command on a day-to-day basis • Preparing and ordering all items for the restaurant and bar menus • Consistently tracking kitchen inventory • Maintaining food quality and ensuring guest satisfaction • Assist with menu development and recipe standardization • Track and maintain the overall food and labor costs • Monitoring equipment maintenance and conditions • Ensure all Banning’s Taverns standards of excellence are met • Executing all production and plating in a timely, efficient manner • Scheduling kitchen staff and posting schedules in a timely manner • Recruiting staff and monitoring their performance • Ensure the kitchen operates alongside state and federal health and safety codes Hours: Five to Six days per week, to be determined Compensation: $20 - $25 per hour, based on qualifications Additional Benefits: Bonuses, PTO & Health Insurance
