Here are the top stories today in Mobile: Mobile Police released surveillance video of the moments after a shooting near the intersection of Cottage Hill and Azalea that occurred nearly two weeks ago. The Turner family says they were driving home from getting ice cream with their daughters when their car was shot at by masked men. Mobile police say they are investigating more and more of these types of incidents, but that violent crime as a whole is on the rise. (WKRG News 5)A Mobile man is still at large after attacking a woman at her home after breaking up with him. The suspect, Charles "Chucky" Mack, surprised the woman in the front yard of her Dogwood Drive house and hit her in the head with a hatchet. The victim ran back in her house, but the suspect followed and attacked her with a kitchen knife, then slashed her neck, cutting her Carotid Artery. The victim was rushed to the hospital by a relative and survived the attack. The suspect is 5 feet, 11 inches tall, weighing 170 pounds. (FOX10 News)The Mobile County Sheriff's Office has released a warning to the community that scammers are causing dire outcomes in seniors, going so far as to drive two victims to commit suicide in Mobile County. (NBC 15 WPMI)21 public schools in the Mobile County School System have been confirmed to have roof problems. Most of the damage was sustained during Hurricane Sally in September 2020.
