Hi...my name is Monica. I'm a guitar player and I'm looking for other trans girls to start an all trans girl band. I want to put a project together doing 80s dance music...Madonna, MJ, Cyndi Lauper, Duran Duran, Simple Minds...etc. As well as some disco and some contemporary stuff like Megan Traynor and PINK. All synth driven music...no rock at all. I'm a seasoned veteran with 30+ years and 1000s of gigs under my belt and I'm looking to put together something unique and dynamic that is set apart from all the regular bands out there. There are no other bands doing this genre of music and I think that a good 80s mix of dance tunes coupled with the sensation of an all trans girl band would be a very profitable adventure. My thoughts are to wear period outfits, outfit changes, etc... and have the stage full of 80s MTV props or other 80s memorabilia and make it as much a visual experience as an aural one I've got a great PA with lights and the trailer to haul it. All my gear is JBL & Crown. I currently use this system and it is bad ass. My target area is southern Maine, southern NH, and northern mass. Ideally, practice would be in the Portland area. Looking for synth, bass, drums & vocals. I would expect this would require a female singer so cis girls are welcome to reply as well. My thought is to create not just a band...but a sensation that is packing places and has people coming from miles away to see us...with packed houses comes more $$. This is about the music first so if you're not a competent and experienced player this is probably not for you. Singing is almost a must...not necessarily lead but the ability to harmonize is nearly 100% a must...not a deal breaker but a less talented or experienced player will get the job first if they sing. This is a gig that would require being fully dressed...hair, makeup, jewelry, etc for every performance, so if your not ready for that it's probably not for you either. I have friends in the biz who are pulling down $2000-$4000 PER SHOW...!!! Why do they get so much...because they've created a sensation...Motor Booty is one of them. I believe it can be done...girl style. The time is ripe for us to show the world that we're real and we're coming...loud & proud and look TF out...😊 So I'm hoping to hear from some of you ladies out there...let's make some music and some money and have some fun..🤙
