Location: Bend Compensation: $20.38/hour (plus $0.50/hour for bilingual Spanish) Hours: Regular full-time (40 hours/week) Benefits: 100% premium paid Medical, Dental, Vision and Life Insurance, Agency paid Retirement plan (up to 6%), almost 16 weeks of paid time total accrual during the first five years (increases after that), plus 10 paid Holidays annually and a separate sick leave accrual Deadline: Position remains open until filled NeighborImpact Overview At NeighborImpact, we change lives by helping Central Oregon families access skills for success, family services, financial assistance, food, housing, weatherization and energy assistance. Overview of Key Duties and Responsibilities: The Weatherization Specialist I will complete comprehensive home energy audits and eligible final inspections on homes throughout Crook, Deschutes and Jefferson Counties as well as Warm Springs. These tasks include evaluating homes for energy usage and possible improvements, data entry and compilation, creating work orders, using an energy modeling computer application and completing final inspections upon job completion. The Weatherization Specialist I will work as part of a team whose goal is creating more energy efficient and safe homes for income eligible residents of Central Oregon. This position has the potential to grow into a Weatherization Auditor upon successful completion of required certifications. POSITION QUALIFICATIONS: • High School diploma or GED required. • Demonstrated proficiency with computer software, including Microsoft Office. • One-year minimum experience working in construction industry preferred. • Knowledge of weatherization and building science principles preferred. • Certification of REM/Design Application Specialist within 1 year of hire. • Certification in BPI Building Analyst, REAP Mobile Homes Shell Tech, REAP Stick Built Shell Tech, Lead Renovator, BPI Heating Professional within 1 year of hire. • Completion of QCI certification within 1 year of hire. • Experience with residential construction codes preferred. • Must be able to travel out of area travel occasionally for training purposes. • Prior to date of hire and throughout employment: o Valid driver’s license; o Proof of current liability auto insurance; o Access to reliable transportation required; and o Satisfactory criminal background check required o Must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 For further details and instructions on how to apply, please visit our Website at www.neighborimpact.org/jobs
