✨Volunteers Needed - Processing Prisoner Mail

We are a non-profit, all-volunteer organization that serves prisoners in all 50 states who are seeking friendship and encouraging words from the outside world. Study after study shows that inmates do better both during their incarceration and after their release when they have support - a win-win for the inmates and the community. (Note: this project does not require direct communication with prisoners, you will be acting on behalf of our organization.) We get a LOT of mail, and need extra hands to open, code, and sort incoming mail, stuff and prep outgoing mail, and scan and shred mail that has already been processed. Ideally volunteers would come to our storage unit in Veneta. This is a worthy cause for anyone who cares about social justice and mass incarceration - we would be so grateful for a few hours of your time. Students of criminal justice, sociology, political science, counseling, psychology, etc., will find this work especially educational and rewarding.
