Description
A little more than 2 years ago my friend and roommate bought this German Shepherd. She was 5 or 6 years old per the shelter that he got her from. He names her Nova and he enjoyed spending time with her, taking her for walks etc. A few months later, tragically he passed away. I continued taking care of Nova the best I could but I do live a busy work life and he was unemployed when he got her.
About 6 months later my daughter was born and became, and remains, a huge focus in my life. I feel at this point that it would be best to allow Nova to move onto a new home. I simply do not have the time, money or energy to give her what she needs and as my daughter gets older, I know it'll only be more of the case.
She lived with a smaller dog of another roommate's for over a year and has spent time around cats & kids with no issues. She could use some TLC as I have not had an opportunity to get her to a groomer like she needs but she eats well and rests plenty. She does have some anxiety, which is common for shepherds, and has some hip issues as she has gotten older (Nothing bad but she is sensitive to being grabbed on the hind end)
She would benefit from someone/a family who can get her back out on walks and give her the love that I know she deserves. Under better circumstances I would keep her <3
I am inclined to ask for a rehoming fee, but honestly I just want her to go to a good home. Feel free to reach out if you are interested at all and we could set up a meet. I am available by call, text or email. :)
