Ahoy! My name is Sierra, I am a stay at home mom with one sweet 2 year old daughter. I am looking to bring a child into our home to nanny and treat like family. I am familiar with Waldorf and Montessori styles of living, but lean more towards Waldorf. Getting outdoors at least once a day is very important to our family, to look at the dirt, trees, bugs, and for exercise. We live right beside Apache park which is mostly fenced and usually empty, and I am always right there to oooh and ahhhh over what they find. We have no plastic toys or things with buttons and sounds, everything is meant to instill imagination and creativity. We may listen to and sing songs about the current season, and sing classic nursery rhymes, but no TV. We LOVE to read, and have at least 15 different library picture books every week. It’s all about exposing them to new words, and I always proofread the books before reading aloud.
