Paid Vocalist Needed: Tenor to Sing with Church Choir

St. Mark's Episcopal Church in South Austin is seeking a Cantor / Tenor Section leader for our choir. Prior choral experience is required. The position requires that the singer be able to sight read from printed sheet music and to model vocal production for amateur singers. Wednesday evening rehearsal: 7:00-8:30 p.m. Sunday morning warm-up and service: 10:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Cantoring approximately once a month for 9:00 a.m. Sunday service Additional rehearsals and services surrounding the holy seasons of Advent, Christmas, and Easter. The pay is $40 per call, averaging $360 per month. Total pay for the academic year will be between $3,200 to $3,700 depending on the singer’s availability. All employees and worship volunteers of St. Mark’s Church must be fully-vaccinated against COVID-19.
