Employees must maintain a consistent average work schedule of 30+ hours per week. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Warehouse Job Description: Shift: 7AM-3:30 PM, Essential Functions & Responsibilities: • Perform minor repairs and cleaning of furniture systems; wipe-down, and touch-up of metal and wood furniture • Basic knowledge of tools • Handles and stages products in our showrooms • Picking, packing, and stocking inventory items. • Help in preparing furniture for shipping; Wrapping furniture in plastic wrap. • Assisting in loading the trucks for shipping. • this position physically lifts, carries and/or pushes furniture, equipment and cartons on wheels to and from trucks, showroom, and warehouse • Safely moves and stacks materials in and about the warehouse, staging area, trailers, etc. • Uses extreme care not to damage goods or facilities during the move. • Able to lift 50 lbs consistently • Ability to speak and communicate well in English with customers and coworkers • Basic janitorial duties; Sweep, empty out trash bins, and mop • Occasionally breaking down furniture for disposal into garbage containers in outside conditions • Professional interaction with customers and employees. Requirements: • High School Diploma or equivalent GED. • Forklift certified preferred •MUST BE RELIABLE --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Office Furniture installer/ Bobtail driver: Position Summary/Objective This position is responsible for delivering and installing office furniture and supplies in the Southern California area in a company vehicle and reports to the Warehouse Manager at the assigned physical location. Responsible for the daily activities related to the installation of free-standing furniture, panel and modular systems, and products of other lines of business. Essential Functions & Responsibilities • Safely delivering orders to customers. • Installs all types of free-standing furniture, panel and modular systems. This includes placement, leveling, wipe-down, and touch-up of metal and wood furniture at the customer’s location. • responsible for driving, loading, and unloading bobtail trucks during the course of an office & industrial move. • Assist with lifting, carrying and/or pushing furniture, equipment and cartons on wheels to and from trucks, offices and warehouses as requested by the customer. • Picking, packing and stocking inventory items. • Professional interaction with customers and employees. • All other duties as assigned and/or required. • Excellent follow-through and attention to detail • Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills • Ability to speak and communicate well in English with customers and coworkers Requirements: •Experience in the removal and/or installing office furniture preferred. • Previous commercial and/or household goods moving experience preferred. • 4 or more years of Bobtail driving experience. • Must be able to lift 50 lbs or more. • Must possess a valid California driver’s license with driving experience. • Must be 21 years of age or older. • Must know about the Los Angeles Freeway System. • Understand how to operate a GPS. • Occasional weekend or after-hours work is also mandatory.
