We are a Design-Build Company looking for a strong Construction Assistant that is forward-thinking and possesses extensive logistical experience. We currently have multiple projects in progress and many in the pipeline. This position will be responsible for ensuring that the projects are running efficiently according to approved plans and scope of work. With great performance comes great opportunities for growth. We are looking for someone who is driven and eager to grow our new California division and take it to the next level. Professional Requirements: - Excellent communication skills - Ability to work alone and/or in teams - Ability to perform well under pressure - Strong drive to succeed and perform - Willingness to do whatever it takes in order to get the job done! - Excellent knowledge of construction, plumbing, and electricity work - Ability to create daily/weekly updates regarding construction progress and priorities tasks Job-Specific Requirements: - Solid knowledge of: LA building code, permitting, approval process, inspections, sign-offs, etc. - Able to execute simple construction tasks and repairs as needed - Ability to read and interpret plans/construction documents - Purchase and deliver construction materials to active sites as needed (valid driver’s license required) - Forward thinker with an ability to notice potential complications during the construction project’s life - Follow the detailed schedule for each project by priority - Ensure project progress is on track per schedule make adjustments as needed - Hands-on experience in residential and/or commercial construction Personal Traits: - Honesty - Reliability - Maturity - Flexibility - Creativity - Problem solving - Resourceful and result-oriented - Calm attitude and a clear headed - Great people skills - "CAN DO" positive attitude
