THE SPRAY TECHNICIAN is responsible for all chemical applications to any property. Additionally the Spray Technician’s responsibilities include all general work activities associated to landscaping. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES • Working knowledge of chemical application equipment. • Records all chemical applications in the chemical log book. • Maintains chemical storage and mixing areas in compliance with county, state and federal regulations and is responsible for the safety and direction of chemical handlers and/or team members. • Knowledgeable and proficient in the safe mechanical operation and calibration of: • mechanical pressurized spray equipment • hand operated spray equipment • hand operated rotary and drop spreaders • utility tractors • Assist in maintaining a daily record log for: fertilizer and pesticide applications and rates of. • Daily implementation & adherence to Springtime Landscape & Irrigation standards. • Capable and proficient in. • Ensure proper storage, use and labeling of all chemicals. • Insures safe work environment to include compliance with OSHA guidelines and Standard Operating Procedure and proper operating usage of equipment as defined in related owner’s manual specifications. • Maintain effective communication with guests and fellow team members. • Does their part to ensure a safe work environment for yourself and your co-workers by following the safety rules • Complete required job duties in the most efficient, productive manner.QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE> • Pesticide License, Valid Oregon Drivers License • Ability to compute rates, rations, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, volumes of cones, cylinders, etc. Ability to read, analyze and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports and legal documents. • Ability to calibrate sprayers, spreaders, scientific instruments, etc. • Ability to follow company policy/procedures, complying with all administrative responsibilities.
