Chain Construction is hiring! We are looking for an enthusiastic and adaptable Junior Carpenter to join our team. The optimal candidate has some experience, is a motivated and hardworking individual that can work with direction and takes great pride in their work. As the main support for the Lead Carpenter, the Apprentice will be a key person for the completion of each project. The ideal applicant will have a solid background in carpentry and overall construction and possess the desire to learn the trade. This individual must be well-organized and strongly focused on safety above at all times. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES -Learn and take feedback while working with Lead Carpenter -Monitor compliance with building and safety regulations -Ensure quality construction standards and use of proper construction techniques -Assist in the coordination of subs and material deliveries -Assist in ensuring we meet contractual conditions of performance -Plan ahead to prevent problems and resolve any emerging ones -Know when to move issues up to management -Making sure jobsite tools and inventory are secured JOB REQUIREMENTS -Carpentry skills (2+ years preferred) -Knowledge of building products, construction details and rules, regulations, and quality standards -Time and project management skills -Some construction math skills -Desire to learn how to read drawings, plans, and blueprints and convey this information to others -Operate various equipment and power tools safely and efficiently -Good physical condition and stamina - must be able to lift 60lbs -Be a dependable, honest, hard working team player -Valid driver's license and reliable transportation -Drug Free Job Type: Full-time Compensation: Hourly Benefits: Health Insurance, 401K, & Paid Time Off Accrual ABOUT CHAIN CONSTRUCTION Over the years, the muscle behind Chain Construction has been built working on various types of engagements including Land Development, Historical Restoration, Adaptive Re-Use, Tenant Improvements, Hospitality, and Residential.
