Perris CA
Description
I need helpers to unload a small airplane from a 26 foot truck. would be nice if you are local to Perris. airplane is 460 lb; wing is 90 lb; tenatively, I will be arriving october 15 or 16 let me know how much you charge per hour. Please take your time and be careful when moving the fragile airplane parts. and listen to my instructions. (my experience with furniture movers is that they are usually in a hurry and careless) This is my first time doing it too. so please be patient as I double check and figure things out along the way. Plus if you are mechanically inclined or work on airplane. I may not install back the wing on the same day. I will call you back for another day. but I would like some pike anchor to be installed into the ground to tie down the aircraft. cover the airplane and tighten with bungee cord. you can suggest any better method. see how the wings are installed at 3 29 Electric Aircraft Earthstar E-Gull Flight Demonstration 2014 See picture for how to install the wing on a similar aircraft. Here is the description on how to remove the wing, putting back will be reverse. Remove the windshield to wing faring, that is at the top of the windshield. Than the mostly vertical aluminum push rod that connects the control stick and the aileron in wing torque tube. It is a an 3 bolt nerf the top of the push rod, the aluminum slug will slide up out of the push rod tube. Than disconnect the flap push rods from the wing flap controll arms. And than the 4 an5 bolts that hold the wing on to the fuselage steel structure. Than lift the wing tips with at least 2 people. The Dcell skin on the leading edge is backed by foam ribs bonded in to the leading edge of the wing. And the aluminum is only.016 in thick so if you set the wing down propped against a wall don’t set it on anything sharp or it could dent it. We have foam Craitels also or blankets work well but you can lay it on a flat clean surface. What length wing do you have? J2 are normally 24 foot and weigh about 90 lb. also, you could also act as "ground crew" in the future, if I made an emergency landing in some farm field. you could come with a truck, tools to pick me up. or take me to hospital if I was unlucky.
