I'm hoping to find some folks that like to play together... mostly for the sake of playing together. I'm a guitar player of 20+ years, though I'm not quite as good as I should be. When I sit down to play, I usually play Phish, which is hard to beat in terms of fun. However, I'm also a fan of... old stuff like the Grateful Dead, The Allman Brothers, Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Hendrix, SRV, Chicago, Rush; 90s like Cake, Ben Folds and Alice in Chains; jazz like The Bad Plus, MMW and Soulive; bluegrass like Nickel Creek; Newer stuff like Vulfpeck and Lake Street Dive; Some heavier stuff like Tool and Metallica. Generally, if it's music with interesting musical ideas, great players and done in a spirit of fun and exploration, I dig it. I'm not really aiming to play gigs, but not against it. I also play piano, mandolin and upright bass; thought not as well as guitar. If your tastes even partially line up, let's talk about jamming. I'm not sure where yet but we can figure that out.
