Our Annual Celebrating Diversity Calendar Release-party It’s with great excitement that CTA & OMRS invite you again to our Annual Celebrating Diversity Calendar Release-party 🎊 This year the entire globe engaged in very difficult conversations, one of which was Racial Justice, so it’s not a surprise that our theme this year is “Our Journey Toward Racial Equity” Our 12 features share their inside and suggestions for the future so keep that we can keep the conversation going. We cannot wait to share their stories with you on November 4th. An evening of great dialogue, entertainment, amazing food and raising funds for Refugee college students. See you then!! Our desired Outcomes are Bringing together people of various backgrounds with different life experiences can generate ideas or perspectives that others may not have ever considered or been aware of. If you experience diversity in your everyday life, you will have regular exposure to people, cultures, traditions, and practices that are unlike your own. You will learn the skills to communicate and interact with communities and concepts that you are unfamiliar with and gain a more worldly view. Hearing about another: Hearing about another’s experience can shed light on a life different than your own and provide you a new perspective. When you compare your struggles, priorities, and values, you can really begin to comprehend where an individual is coming from and understand his or her actions and behaviors. We are confident that our team’s unique experiences and creative learning style will absolutely be an asset to our community’s growth.
