Two weeks ago my neighbors and I found this dog tied to the Boone Park tennis court fence. I wanted to keep her because she was so sweet and trusting, but we already have five dogs. So I took her to the ACPS shelter where the staff found her microchip and were able to tell me that she had been adopted from ACPS 8 years ago and her name was Merlot. She is still at the shelter now because her owners have never come to claim her. See her picture at coj.net/adopt. She is Merlot, a tan mixed breed, spayed and vaccinated, 60 pounds. This picture was taken when she first arrived at the shelter and was terrified. She actually is a pretty dog. It is very difficult for an older dog to get adopted so I am hoping a kind person will see this ad and give her a happy home. I will pay for a complete vet check up after she is adopted.
