Superintendent Position Summary: Immediate hiring opportunity ---------- Send your resume seeking a qualified superintendent for this location. The Superintendent is responsible for working with the Site Director in the general maintenance of the systems of the building. He/She must be able to identify and address safety concerns and problems related to the operation of the building as a facility for emergency housing, and must be able to work with this team, carrying out tasks in an efficient manner. He/she oversees the heating, water, plumbing and electrical systems of the building and ensures the general upkeep of the residence. Other duties as assigned by supervisor. Duties: A) Maintaining safe and secure building with regard to the interior and the exterior. B) Overseeing building compliance with Administrative Building Code and New York City Fire Code C) Light plumbing and light electrical work D) Manage Porters and maintain the building in immaculate condition E) General repairs and maintenance F) Participate in fire drills when scheduled G) Monitoring boiler and other designated equipment. H) Keeping inventory of supplies. I) Ensuring that all work orders are completed in timely fashion. J) Any other duties as assigned by supervisor. K) On call 24/7 for emergencies Qualifications: Experience: Supervisory experience is a must Drivers License is a plus Education: High school or equivalent (Required) The following certifications are a Plus: S-13 S-60 S-95 P-99
