Proof of vaccination and ID required to attend Unity Hall concerts until further notice and face masks are encouraged. Annie and Marie Burns as a duo create “passionate, energetic music filled with seductive harmonies and lyrics that are bursting with spirit and soul”. Two of twelve siblings, Annie and Marie have been singing together since early childhood. The Burns Sisters have been through many different configurations over the years.  They started as a trio. At one time, all five sisters sang together, but they eventually returned to the original trio. Two years ago, Jeannie Burns left the band to follow her heart westward to the Austin music scene. Marie and Annie have kept the name and reputation of The Burns Sisters alive, performing in major venues and festivals in the United States, as well as in Ireland where they have been repeatedly invited to play established music festivals. The Burns Sisters have written and produced, together and apart, approximately 20 CDs on the Columbia and Rounder record labels.  The Burns Sisters have shared the stage with many great folk legends, including Arlo Guthrie, Tom Paxton, Pete Seeger, Odetta, David Amram, Chris Thile, Willie Nelson, and  even the Boston Pops.  They have played venues from Carnegie Hall to the Grand Old Opry, and from Northern Thailand to the hills of Clare Ireland. Tickets are also on at Adirondack Cheese Company on Rt. 12 in Barneveld starting Monday, October 18th at 10am. Presented by The Unity Hall Foundation, a not-for-profit organization dedicated to maintaining this historic building as a home for the arts and community events.
