Punk rock band urgently needs a drummer

Description
We are Lions Of West Texas (find us on Facebook and Instagram: “@lionsofwesttexas”), a punk rock four-piece with two lead vocalists that sadly just became a three-piece as we lost our powerful, talented, and well-connected drummer right before we were going to finalize some songs to take into the studio. So now we need a new drummer (preferably within our age range of 21-35) to round out our lineup once again! Our previous guy behind the kit is leaving some pretty big shoes to fill (we won’t dare name-drop here, but feel free to ask us who he used to play with), so we’re hoping we can find someone who can bring the same powerful, fast, and flexible energy to the band as he did, but who can also sit in with a song and play what's appropriate for that song. We're not necessarily looking for a progressive super-skilled drummer who worships at the throne of Neil Peart (RIP) and plays a 20-piece kit — not that there's anything wrong with that, but we want someone who's got the skills AND knows how to use them, knows exactly what to play within a certain context. Y'know, someone along the lines of a Bill Stevenson, Dave Grohl, Tré Cool, John Bonham, or Keith Moon type drummer. The ability to sing backup vocals would also be a great bonus, but it’s not a requirement! Now you might read that description and think, “Mehh, not for me,” and hey, it’s all good! We totally understand if it’s not your style! … Orrrrrr maybe we’re just not making ourselves clear enough, so if you’re at the very least intrigued, we can send you two to three raw demos that we have mostly done of the songs that we were planning on bringing into the studio for a legitimate demo. Now normally this is where we’d say there’s no rush in getting back to us right away as we all have day jobs and responsibilities outside of music (our bass player, for example, JUST worked out his schedule so he could rehearse on Wednesdays after 5:30). But at this point we've gotten the ball rolling pretty far along with this band, so we're hoping someone can hop in and fill this vacancy soon so we can pick up where we left off before getting too stagnant or out of practice. We’d like you to be as committed to this band as possible given whatever current life situation you may be in. We’re shooting for no less than one or two rehearsals a week after work or on the weekends so we can gear up to record a demo, shop it around to local venues, flesh out a setlist, and get closer to our ultimate goal of playing multiple shows a month. So feel free to shoot us an email with samples of your drumming (as well as your regular email address, we’ve had some issues with CL’s mail relay thing), and let us know if you’d like to climb aboard this already-moving train so we can send those demos over to you! We're very excited to be getting together and jamming with you soon, and we hope you are too! PS. You are expected to have your own gear, and it would be incredibly helpful if you have your own practice space where the four of us can play — we don’t mind paying for rehearsal time at a studio in or around the city like we’ve been doing up until this point, but it would be nice to have a place to call our own without having to worry about paying for it.
