Get Your License To Carry A Handgun MB Guns and Ammo offers License To Carry (LTC) classes by Texas certified instructors. The class fee for a new license is $100 and is a 4-5 hour course as mandated by the state. Payment must be made in full to reserve a spot. Payments are non refundable. If a student can’t make class they can reschedule with approval from instructor. NEW LICENSE TO CARRY PROCEDURE: Go to https://www.txdps.state.tx.us. Click the link to apply for an original License to Carry and complete the application. You may then print the needed forms, including the new law book. Sign up with IdentoGO through the Texas DPS website for fingerprinting. You may have your fingerprints done before or after taking the class. The LTC class includes: 4-5 hours of instruction Targets Take Written Test Shooting Proficiency Test. Range Fee Completed LTC-100. *Firearms are available to rent for a fee. Student will be required to purchase ammunition. Send all paperwork to the State. WHAT YOU NEED FOR THE CLASS: A handgun, 22 caliber or larger. 50 rounds of ammunition, must be brassed cased, no steel or aluminum Texas Driver’s License or Texas Identification Card
